San Antonio, TX – March 26, 2009 – As both Chairman and CEO of Sirius Computer Solutions, and Founder and President of the Najim Family Foundation, Harvey Najim is being recognized as an esteemed business and community leader and will be inducted into the San Antonio Business Hall of Fame.
To be considered as a San Antonio Business Hall of Fame Laureate, an individual’s record of business achievement must demonstrate characteristics including business excellence, courageous thinking and actions, vision and innovation, inspiring leadership, and community-mindedness. Business Hall of Fame Laureates are individuals whose work has moved our community in a better, stronger direction.
“I started my company, now named Sirius Computer Solutions, in San Antonio in 1980. In 28 years it’s grown to be a company with over 700 employees nationally and 2008 revenues over $722 million,” said Mr. Najim. “I started the Harvey E. Najim Family Foundation in December 2006 with plans to support various public charities that advance children’s education, children’s medical treatment, medical research for illnesses and diseases affecting children, and other children’s charitable organizations. As I deliver the grants to these local children’s organizations, I get to witness hopes and dreams turned into reality. I know I’m doing the giving, but I can tell you that the children and those providing their care have given back to me gifts that don’t have words to describe them.” |

Mr. Najim was nominated for the San Antonio Business Hall of Fame because of his accomplishments at both Sirius and the Najim Foundation. Sirius is a nationally recognized technology provider and the largest IBM Solution Provider. In addition to the long list of accomplishments and awards Sirius has received since 1980, Mr. Najim has been personally recognized with an IBM Lifetime Achievement Award and a VARBusiness Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award. Since its formation in 2006, the Najim Foundation and Mr. Najim have given grants and pledges totaling over $14.6 million to 101 charities. In 2007, Mr. Najim was recognized as #24 in The Chronicle of Philanthropy Top 50 American Philanthropists. In 2008, Mr. Najim was recognized as #49 in BusinessWeek’s Top 50 Philanthropists List of 2008.
Mr. Najim created and lives by the guiding principles of Sirius which include: Respect for the Individual, High Client Satisfaction, Excellence in Everything We Do, True Partnerships with Our Suppliers and Partners, Fiscal Responsibility in All That We Do, and Community Service.

Najim Family Foundation is aimed at helping children’s charitable organizations in the greater San Antonio area.
