Joe Bast
Director of Power Systems
Joe Bast is responsible for all of Sirius’ pre- and post-sales service and solution offerings built on IBM Power Systems servers running the AIX, IBM i and Linux operating systems. |
Prior to joining Sirius in 2010, Mr. Bast was the vice president of Power Systems at MSI Systems Integrators, Inc., having also served as that company’s vice president for Open Systems and System i practices. Mr. Bast’s vast knowledge of the industry allows him to provide the best solutions for Sirius’ clients. He is also responsible for defining the core solutions and services offerings Sirius delivers to its clients.
Mr. Bast spent more than 30 years in executive and managerial roles for IBM. He was employed by IBM as the business executive responsible for sales and support to large financial services customers throughout the Midwest. Concurrently, he served as the senior location executive for all of IBM’s Nebraska employees and locations. In addition, Mr. Bast was an integrated technology services manager responsible for the delivery of complex IBM Global Services solutions to his financial services clients.
Mr. Bast has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Nebraska, and completed advanced business management certifications at Harvard University.
