| John Harney and Chris Seidler, two Sirius account executives, are active volunteers in Habitat for Humanity. They are organizing a volunteer program for Sirius so all of us will know what Habitat for Humanity is, and how we can get involved in our area. |

“I first volunteered in New Orleans in November of 2006. I spent a week among volunteers with a common purpose. They all wanted to help families have safe homes. The week ended with the dedication of one of the homes, with the keys being given to a mother with two young daughters. They were moving from a one bedroom apartment into their three bedroom home. The girls were hoppin' happy about having a yard and having their own bedrooms. The mom was thrilled to know they would be safe by being away from the gangs in their apartment building. This experience of putting my time and effort into making their lives significantly better has changed my own life. When you have helped someone make this transition to a new life it helps you to understand what matters and what is nice to have, what to worry about and what to let slide. My personal life and my work life have benefitted from the time I have spent volunteering for Habitat.” -- John Harney, Sirius

I worked on the last home on two occasions and the home owner was working side-by-side with us. The feeling at the end of the session when progress can be seen is fantastic.
