On February 13, President Bush signed into law a $168 billion economic stimulus bill that includes a bonus depreciation provision available for all taxable businesses on new equipment and software placed in service in 2008, and provides special incentives for small business capital investments. This represents an excellent opportunity for our clients to invest in new technology in the current calendar year.

In response to this new bill, IBM Global Financing (IGF) is announcing the Economic Stimulus Advantage. Under this offering, qualifying clients can select enhanced low rates or a no-charge, three-month deferral on true leases for new IBM and non-IBM equipment that is installed by December 31, 2008.

While the lower rates or no-charge deferral are limited to hardware, clients can also take advantage of IGF financing offerings on IBM and ISV software, along with below-market rates on IBM services, so they can acquire the total IT solutions they need while leveraging the accelerated depreciation benefit on software purchases. In addition, IBM Asset Recovery Solutions can manage the buyback and disposal of excess or existing technology, so clients can replace it with new technology.

Here is a summary of the IGF Economic Stimulus Advantage offering:

- Clients may choose either the special, lower rates or the no-charge, three-month deferral

- Offer is valid on transactions valued greater than $1,000, for acquisitions in the United States only

- Available to commercial clients on true leases with a term of 24 months or longer

- Valid for new IBM and non-IBM hardware

- Offer is subject to credit approval and may be changed or cancelled at any time without notice

- Other restrictions may apply
